Surveys and condition reports
Following a full glazing survey, we can produce a detailed condition report with photographs illustrating areas in need of attention, including timbers, stone and associated ironwork. From this, we can estimate the longevity of the windows and give our recommendations for the best options of preventative or remedial repair.

Metalwork and casement restoration
The majority of our metalwork restoration and fabrication is done in house. We tend to restore a lot of medieval flat iron and period casements, which are characteristic with the age of a lot of properties in the area. They quite often fail through centuries of wear and tear, letting in cold air and water ingress. We always try to make improvements to surrounding framework, rebates and catches, for improved operation and a better fit when they're returned.
The studio is capable of manufacturing glazing associated metalwork, reproduction casements and bespoke fittings, involving a local blacksmith for more specialist requirements, such as ferramanta re-tipping, reproduction window furniture and traditional ironmongery.
